A Space Between Art Exhibit
August 5-27, 2022
The A Space Between art exhibit at Del Ray Artisans gallery focuses on shadows, negative space, and often overlooked components of a scene. After two years separated by literally six feet—and many centuries of burying loved ones six feet under—the concept of space gave artists a chance to explore themes of isolation beyond the physical separations of our shared experience.
Join us on opening day, Friday, August 5 between 12-9pm for the widest selection of artwork. Mark your calendar or set a reminder through Eventbrite. The artworks feature the shadows cast on subjects and the negative spaces revealing previously unseen images to help us visualize empathy and compassion for seeing the same thing differently.

Decades Ahead: Visions of the Future | April 2 – May 1, 2022
This year, the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture is celebrating its 20th anniversary. As we reflect on our achievements and contributions to the arts community over the last two decades, we also look ahead and consider how we can have a greater impact in the region in the decades to come. To commemorate the anniversary, we invited artists in the DC Metro area to submit works that convey their vision for the future.
The works in this exhibition explore the concept of the future from personal, cultural, social and political lenses. Through a variety of media, including but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, and textile work, the artists featured in this exhibition share their many different visions of what the future may hold. Some present concerns about our environment and relationship with technology, while others offer utopian visions for the way society can become more inclusive and vibrant.
Together, the works featured here invite viewers to ponder their own idea of what the future holds. What will society look like in decades to come? How would the arts impact our culture decades from now?
Twists and Turns 2022
Twists and Turns suggest labyrinthine mystery, surprising changes perhaps hard to follow. This exhibit invites artists to interpret what emerges from engaging with the theme, to go beyond.

Childhood Passions
Exhibit Dates: September 1 – October 1, 2017
Opening Reception: Friday, September 1 from 7-9pm
For this exhibit artists have created artwork that honors our childhood passions that we tend to lose sight of as we grow up. Join us at the opening reception on Friday, September 1 from 7-9pm to enjoy the artwork that captures the joy of a child and meet the curators, artists, and other art appreciators. What were you passionate about as a child that you don’t have much time for now? We’ve all had childhood dreams and passions. Things that we did that brought us complete joy without anyone telling us to do it. We did it instinctively because it was playful, fun, and made us feel alive. As we grow up, we tend to lose touch with the ability to play like a child and the experience of doing things for the sheer joy of doing things just for fun.
