Field Trip

Buddha Kitty Glass recently took a little trip down to beautiful Portland, Oregon to buy glass at the Bullseye Glass Showroom. Bullseye Glass is like heaven on earth to me. Rows and rows of beautiful glass. With all this lovely glass it is very hard to decide what to buy. They also have a wonderful art gallery upstairs with very interesting an innovative art such as this skull glass brick.

The staff is very helpful and took a lot of time with me helping me get just the right glass for some of my custom orders and gave me some very helpful suggestions on cutting glass circles. (This is a lot harder than it sounds!) I found out they give tours of the factory where the glass is made and am anxious to go back and take this tour.

If you are ever in the area I highly recommend stopping by and visiting Bullseye. Make sure you look for the Lego Man with the glass frit!

You can't control the weather

Buddha Kitty Glass not only loves fused glass but also sunny days at the beach and long walks through the forest. But since we live in the rainy Pacific Northwest it will be a while until we can enjoy that kind of outdoor fun. So instead we decided to create our own sunny day and forest walk in glass. Our two newest creations: "Red Swirl" and "Forest Green" are our interpretations of a sunny day and a walk in the woods.
